Qualifications

• Senior engineering operations leadership experience in a complex organisation.
• Ability to balance pace with control by embedding standards and governance.
• Practical knowledge of DevSecOps, test automation and deployment automation.
• Experience with engineering metrics and developer tooling to drive delivery.
• Comfortable working in a regulated environment with cross-functional partners.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the Engineering Operations capability across quality engineering, environments, release readiness, engineering assurance, operational controls, engineering risk and continuous improvement.
• Lead engineering risk management with clear ownership of controls and attestation across central Enterprise Technology and risk governance frameworks.
• Drive automation including automated standards compliance, test automation, DevSecOps practices, IaC and AI-enabled delivery.
• Provide leadership for quality assurance, environment management and release governance, evidencing standards compliance.
• Oversee engineering standards across partners and outsourcing, with metrics and control expectations.
• Use metrics and risk insights to drive decision-making and continuous improvement across the function.
