A leading innovation centre for manufacturing is seeking a Trainer & Skills Coach to enhance learning experiences for apprentices in engineering. The role involves managing apprentices, delivering content on nuclear, electrical, and mechanical engineering principles, and developing assessment materials. Candidates should possess a Level 3 Engineering qualification and a teaching qualification, as well as strong communication and coaching skills. This is a full-time position based in Abingdon, England.
The Trainer & Skills Coach role is required to manage and develop a comprehensive and innovative teaching and learning experience in a variety of practical and theoretical skills within relevant apprenticeship standards, to include but not limited to Nuclear Operative & Nuclear Health Physics Monitor. The role will require you to also ensure apprentices receive support, guidance and encouragement to succeed in their apprenticeship programme. As well as developing technical knowledge and skills you will be instrumental in developing softer skills which are embedded within apprenticeships. This will require you to provide regular constructive feedback to learners and record their impact on their own learning on a regular basis. You will also be involved in the development of new curriculum to ensure that it is focussed on industry practice and the learner journey.
