We're looking for an Engineering Move Planner to coordinate complex transport operations involving large-scale and abnormal loads. This role requires a unique blend of technical understanding and stakeholder coordination to ensure the safe and timely movement of critical assets.

Are you a highly organised professional with a background in engineering or project management? We're looking for an Engineering Move Planner to coordinate complex transport operations involving large-scale and abnormal loads. This role requires a unique blend of technical understanding and stakeholder coordination to ensure the safe and timely movement of critical assets.
What You'll Be Doing:Plan and manage major vehicle movements across the UK, submitting route notifications and gaining approval from relevant authorities including police forces and local councils.
Coordinate with multiple stakeholders, including police escorts, structural authorities, and internal teams, to ensure all aspects of the move are aligned and executed smoothly.
Interpret technical drawings to understand load requirements, including centre of gravity, load distribution, and vehicle configuration.
Maintain close communication with drivers, customers, and external agencies to manage logistics, scheduling, and last-minute changes.
Play a project management-style role, bringing all parts of the move together-from planning through execution.
Support vehicle maintenance planning and contribute to continuous operational improvements.
Participate in a shared out-of-hours rota to support live transport projects.
Experience coordinating or planning complex operations (transport, logistics, engineering, or construction backgrounds welcome).
Strong understanding of technical documentation such as engineering or transport drawings.
Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders and managing tight timelines.
IT literate, with experience using planning or scheduling systems.
Project management or engineering qualifications.
Familiarity with abnormal load routing, notifications, or transport operations.
OLAT or CPC certification (not essential).
