Are you ready to inspire the next generation of engineers? The Manchester College is seeking a passionate Engineering Teacher with a background in Mechanical, Electronic, or Electrical engineering. Industry experience is highly valued, as it plays a vital role in preparing students for real-world careers.

Your practical knowledge will enrich the curriculum and help bridge the gap between classroom learning and industry demands. Join our dedicated team to deliver engaging, hands-on learning that empowers learners to succeed. We have an exciting opportunity at our Openshaw campus to join the Automotive, Construction, Engineering, and Logistics Department as a permanent, full-time Engineering Mechanical/Electronic/Electrical Teacher (35 hours per week).

Site Information: Our Openshaw campus is a vibrant, modern hub equipped with industry-standard facilities designed to inspire staff and students. Located just outside Manchester city centre, it offers a range of vocational and academic courses, including spaces for construction, engineering, health, and digital.

Who are TMC? The Manchester College is the largest Further Education College in the UK, supporting over 25% of Greater Manchester's learning provision. It offers extensive provision for 16-19-year-olds, adults, and higher education. As part of the LTE group, which includes MOL, Total People, UCEN Manchester, Novus, and LTE Group Operations, the college maintains partnerships with over 1000 industry and employer partners nationally, ensuring students are prepared to lead in the future.

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:

  • Certificate of Education or PGCE
  • Current industry specialism and assessor qualifications (if required by Awarding Organisation)
  • Minimum Level 3 occupational qualification
  • English and maths at minimum Level 2 (Grade C/4 or above)
