Dex, in partnership with a fast-growing fintech platform, seeks a senior engineering leader to mentor engineers across three squads—intelligence, experience and platform—and to partner with the CTO and Product leadership to shape a lightweight planning rhythm that surfaces dependencies and risks.

You will own technical hiring and organizational design as the team scales across London and New York, evaluate architectures, and translate business needs into credible roadmaps that engineers actively

This team builds an autonomous agentic platform that executes complex sourcing, diligence, and portfolio monitoring workflows for multi-billion-dollar private equity and credit funds. Backed by leading fintech investors with over $20M in funding and exceptional revenue growth over the past year, they have reached proven product-market fit across major financial hubs in the US and Europe.

The work

• Directly manage and mentor engineers across three squads—intelligence, experience, and platform—developing technical leadership within each unit.
• Partner with the CTO and Product leadership to design a lightweight planning rhythm that surfaces dependencies and risks without centralizing decisions.
• Own technical hiring and organizational design, shaping the composition of the squads as the team scales across London and New York.
• Assess codebase architecture, delivery pipelines, and squad capabilities to resolve technical bottlenecks in high-throughput agentic data systems.
• Translate high-stakes commercial requirements from enterprise investment firms into credible, transparent roadmaps that engineers actively shape.

What You Bring

• Direct people management experience leading software engineers, preceded by a strong foundation as an individual contributor at a fast-growing startup or tier-one tech company.
• Demonstrated track record of shipping distributed systems, data pipelines, or platform infrastructure through teams you led.
• Hands‑on experience hiring, developing, and making structural team‑shape decisions as priorities and scope evolve.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate parallel workstreams across multiple teams without micromanaging or stripping ownership from the engineers doing the work.
• An outcome‑oriented management philosophy that evaluates team health on shipped customer impact and software reliability rather than internal velocity metrics.
