As a Core Technology Engineering Manager you will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining a world-class core technology capability by cultivating an environment where operational excellence, reliability, and innovation thrive. Rooted in the principles of Autonomy, Mastery, and Purpose, the Core Technology Engineering Manager empowers engineers to solve complex, cross-cutting challenges through strong technical leadership, thoughtful coaching, and a relentless focus on quality and innovation.
Core Technology Engineering Managers are accountable for the resilience, scalability, security, and cost-effectiveness of the platforms and infrastructure their teams own. They ensure cloud-native systems, automation tooling, and core services are robust, observable, and optimised - enabling internal teams to deliver customer value efficiently and safely. They partner with diverse business stakeholders to deliver cross-functional outcomes, balancing long-term architectural health with the demands of speed, compliance, and financial stewardship. By collaborating closely with multiple stakeholders, they help shape foundational capabilities that underpin the business.
