Base Location: Glasgow, Edinburgh, London or Aberdeen

Business Unit: Part of Xodus Group, Evolv Energies is at the forefront of major international projects, providing a unique, integrated perspective and specialist engineering expertise to support offshore developers, investors, and the wider construction and installation supply chain through Concept, Pre-FEED, FEED, and Detailed Design, as well as Construction and Installation activities. Our focus is primarily on offshore wind, interconnectors, and energy transition projects.

Role:

The Engineering Manager – Structures will be responsible for delivering Structural engineering outputs for our projects. You will provide technical expertise in ongoing projects, bids, and proposals, and represent Evolv Energies in client and stakeholder meetings as needed.

Primary Roles & Responsibilities include:

• Provide inspirational leadership, mentoring, and management to the Structural Engineering team.
• Lead the development of technology, team capabilities, and growth.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders such as TA’s, SME’s, and other discipline Engineers to deliver structural engineering services that meet industry standards (ISO, API, DNV, NORSOK, etc.) and certification requirements.
• Ensure excellence in Structural Engineering deliverables through tenders, feasibility studies, project specifications, design review, and assurance.
• Ensure projects and tenders meet Evolv Energies and client engineering standards, maintaining quality assurance throughout.
• Assign appropriate Structural Engineering and technical resources to projects during tendering and execution.
• Incorporate sound engineering practices and innovation, including machine learning and AI, to enhance design value and efficiency.
• Promote safety in design, ensuring compliance with legislation and effective delivery of CDM Principal Designer and Designer roles.

Role Requirements include:

A proactive, can-do attitude, with willingness to work collaboratively at all levels.

Chartered Engineer with proven Structural Engineering expertise in offshore wind, with experience across Concept, Pre-FEED, FEED, Detailed Design, and Construction/Installation phases.

• Recognized industry expert with experience in offshore wind projects, including fixed, floating, and substations, with a detailed understanding of Structural Engineering requirements.
• Significant experience in a structural engineering management role.
• Excellent communication skills at all organizational levels and with external stakeholders.
• Interest in developing external and internal relationships and participating in industry groups and professional bodies.
