A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for an Engineering Manager to join a UK-known Electronics manufacturer in the Dartford area! With no day ever being the same, the Engineering Manager will be working within an exciting and innovative industry that offers genuine long-term progression.

Role & Responsibilities:

1. Delivering BOMs, programs, SOPs, and Maintenance tasks on time, in full, and to the required quality standard.
2. Managing day-to-day activities of the production engineering department.
3. Developing staff at all levels to maintain and improve skill levels to ensure continuity and succession planning.
4. Implementing improvement activities to increase efficiencies using Lean Manufacturing Techniques, Kanban, 5S.
5. Managing KPIs measuring efficiency and performance of the Production Engineering department to meet targets.
6. Implementing and driving continuous improvement activities through change management processes and best practices.
7. Maintaining the integrity of manufacturing processes with lean, cost-effective strategies that meet organizational needs.
8. Executing duties with a proactive focus rather than reactive.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Manufacturing or Electrical/Electronic.
• Experience in the Electronics manufacturing industry.
• Experience driving continuous quality improvement in a manufacturing environment.
• Significant experience managing a team of production engineers.
• Good understanding of product realization processes, focusing on delivery through One Piece Flow, Kanban, and Batch manufacturing.
• Thorough understanding and experience in implementing Lean Manufacturing principles.
