Job Description:

Engineering Manager, Scrum Master, Software Delivery focused. Required to have a previous technical background (SDLC - will have been a software engineer/ developer earlier in their career). Delivery focused and Team Leading / People Management required, c £65,000 - 75,000 + benefits. Remote role with one day a month in the office.

This role involves software project delivery, line management, scrum mastery, and more. To be considered, you should have a development background but will not be hands-on anymore. People / line management is critical, managing a team of 6-9, along with strong software delivery skills.

This position is with a technology company leading their industry, working on their SaaS product, managing a team, and enabling them to develop software for external clients. As a skilled Scrum Master, you will be focused on software delivery and team management.

Key Tasks Include:

• Remove external impediments for the team to focus on delivery.
• Manage a team developing high-quality software.
• Work with the Product Owner to manage delivery timescales and expectations.
• Track, monitor, and report on project delivery within scope, time, and budget.
• Work with the agile engagement team to adopt suitable tools and methodologies.
• Manage all team ceremonies, from stand-ups to refinement and retrospectives.

Skills and experience required:

• Proven experience as an Engineering Manager (software) or similar.
• Delivery skills and experience.
• Team leading and mentoring experience (direct line management, 1-2-1's, reviews, etc.).
• Excellent knowledge of Agile methodologies.
• Good understanding of the SDLC, starting as a Software Developer or Tester.
• Knowledge of data-driven roles or environments is an advantage.
