Job Title: Engineering Manager – Product Safety

What you’ll be doing:

• Manage a team of safety engineers responsible for safety case activities across submarine projects including Dreadnought class, SSN AUKUS, and Astute.
• Ensure submarine resilience to hazards such as fires, explosions, floods, and steam releases.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to manage and reduce risks through good design practices.
• Ensure the team has adequate size, skills, and experience to meet project demands and support major milestones.

Your skills and experiences:

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience in high hazard industries such as Defence, Oil & Gas, Rail, etc.
• Skills in safety case development and engineering.
• Previous engineering management experience.
• Capability management and programme delivery skills.
