Job summary

Join COWI as Engineering Manager for offshore substation Topsides. You will lead electrical and mechanical activities, oversee multidisciplinary interfaces, and ensure timely delivery on complex offshore wind projects.

You will guide engineering teams, manage interfaces with suppliers and clients, and apply offshore standards (IEC/DNV) while promoting continuous improvement and best practices.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience within offshore wind and offshore substation projects.
• Strong understanding of OSS Topsides electrical systems and interfaces.
• Experience from developer, EPC, OEM, fabrication yard or consultancy.
• Knowledge of IEC and DNV offshore standards and grid compliance.
• Proven capability leading engineering teams on complex international projects.
• Familiarity with fabrication, transportation, installation and commissioning.
• Strong stakeholder management across clients, contractors and authorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate mechanical and electrical engineering activities for Offshore Substation Topsides.
• Act as technical authority for electrical systems within Topsides scope.
• Develop engineering execution strategies, priorities and action plans.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary interfaces across electrical, structural, mechanical, telecom, SCADA, safety and HV.
• Provide technical leadership to engineering teams, leads, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Identify risks and mitigation strategies during execution phase.
• Ensure activities align with fabrication, transport, installation, commissioning and operation.
• Participate in design reviews, HAZID/HAZOP, FAT/SAT and client meetings.
• Promote continuous improvement and engineering best practices.
