Job summary

Avara Foods is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Engineering function at the Hollybank site, Scropton, Derbyshire. You will provide technical and people leadership to ensure safe, efficient and reliable operation of all site assets and infrastructure.

As a key member of the Site Leadership Team, you will drive maintenance, reliability and capital projects, shaping the site strategy and performance while fostering a high-performing engineering culture in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership of engineering teams in manufacturing environments.
• Strong technical background in engineering with a relevant qualification.
• Experience in maintenance, reliability improvement and asset management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Engineering function with clear direction and development for the team.
• Contribute to site strategy as a member of the Site Leadership Team.
• Develop and deliver engineering strategy to meet KPIs and growth.
• Drive proactive maintenance programmes to improve reliability and availability.
• Manage budgets for maintenance, contractor spend and capex.
• Own CMMS processes and engineering systems for performance and compliance.
• Ensure safe completion of activities with high health and safety standards.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and capital projects.
• Build relationships with internal stakeholders and external contractors.
