Job summary

Pilgrim's Europe, based near Linton, is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to oversee all aspects of the engineering function, ensuring operations run efficiently and safely. The role emphasizes maintenance management, process improvements, and team development within a strong quality and food safety framework.

You will lead planned maintenance, support breakdowns, drive efficiency, manage budgets and contractors, and actively promote QFS standards through audits and site-wide

Qualifications

• Responsibilities include overseeing planned preventative maintenance, supporting breakdowns, and driving efficiency improvements.
• Budget and contractor management, and development of the team.
• Lead with quality and food safety initiatives and participate in audits and QA systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate planned preventative maintenance
• Support the team with breakdowns if required
• Actively seek improvement opportunities and implement those improvements where possible to further develop the efficiency and productivity of the business.
• Budget and contractor management
• Ensure continuous development of the team
• Lead by example in Pilgrim’s Quality and Food Safety (QFS) programmes and support QFS agenda through resource provision
• Support site food safety and quality management systems via HACCP & TACCP teams and audit programmes
• Attend OPEX tier meetings and support site OPEX plans and actions
