Job summary

Demob Job Ltd client in Milton Keynes is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a skilled engineering team and drive hands-on technical excellence in a growing business delivering cutting-edge engineering technology for demanding industrial applications.

You will plan and oversee projects, coach engineers, and ensure safe, on-time delivery while shaping workshop activities and improving processes.

Qualifications

Hold a relevant engineering qualification with proven experience of managing engineering teams.
Hands-on engineering experience with an appreciation of mechanical engineering.
Experience planning engineering activities and managing projects.
Able to coach, mentor and develop engineering teams.
A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to lead by example.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach and develop a team of workshop engineers.
Manage day to day workshop activities, workloads and engineering priorities.
Provide hands on technical leadership, supporting the team with engineering challenges and problem solving.
Plan and oversee engineering projects, ensuring delivery to schedule, budget and quality standards.
Continuously improve workshop processes, procedures and ways of working.
Manage workshop resources, tooling, equipment and budgets.
Work closely with design, test and engineering teams to ensure projects are delivered successfully.
Ensure all workshop activities are carried out safely and in accordance with health and safety requirements.
