Job summary

Cisco ThousandEyes is seeking an Engineer Manager for the Endpoint team to ensure rapid troubleshooting and long-term analysis of end-user experiences. You will lead a team responsible for backend infrastructure that ingests, aggregates, and stores telemetry data from agents, driving scalable data processing and availability.

You will collaborate with product and tech leaders, mentor engineers, and shape the team’s technical roadmap while delivering high-quality features across quarters.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software engineering management experience leading teams of 4 or more engineers.
• Formulating a team's technical strategy and roadmap; collaboration with multiple teams to execute shared goals.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience building distributed enterprise architectures, delivering major features from inception to production.
• Strong proponent of Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum) and engineering practices like Test-Driven Development.
• Ability to balance tactical needs with long-term growth and quality initiatives spanning multiple quarters.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product, technical leaders and other business units to build out and deliver assurance use cases.
• Lead a team to build and scale backend infrastructure that ingests, aggregates, and stores data collected by agents.
• Lead a team of engineers focusing on data processing and availability at scale as our footprint grows.
• Responsible for managing the career growth of individual team members.
