Your mission

We are seeking an Engineering Manager (DevOps) to lead our Platform Engineering team. This role involves overseeing the deployment, management, and monitoring of our applications across on-premise and cloud environments, promoting DevOps principles, automation, and efficient deployment pipelines. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of software development, system administration, and CI/CD practices.

What you'll do

  • Lead and mentor a team of Platform (DevOps) engineers, ensuring high performance and professional growth.
  • Plan and coordinate team activities to meet deadlines and objectives.
  • Establish and promote DevOps best practices and a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Represent your team in planning and resource allocation, supporting critical changes and migrations.
  • Assist engineering teams to become autonomous, high-performing units.
  • Collaborate with development, architecture, and security teams to optimize processes.
  • Coordinate incident responses and conduct root cause analyses.
  • Act as escalation point for platform issues, liaising with vendors as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders about platform-related matters.
  • Support project initiatives, manage risks, and report on progress.

What you'll bring

  • Experience leading Platform engineering or DevOps teams.
  • Strong knowledge of DevOps methodologies and teaching experience.
  • Understanding of system architecture and technical decision-making.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Service Mesh, OpenPolicy, observability tools, and provisioning systems like Ansible or Terraform.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms: GCP, AWS, Azure, OpenStack, VMWare.
  • Deep understanding of CI/CD tools and practices.
  • Knowledge of databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, MongoDB.
  • Programming and scripting skills in Bash, Python, Perl, Ruby.
  • Ability to contribute to security and technology groups.
  • Capacity to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
