Job Overview

We are seeking an Engineering Manager to support our high hazard facilities and operations within the Capital Engineering function. You will partner with the Principal Engineering Manager to ensure that facility designs meet business, safety, and licensing requirements.

Location & Package

Location: RG7 4PR, between Reading and Basingstoke, with free onsite parking.

Package: £47,690 - £70,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

Working Pattern

We operate a 9-day working fortnight and consider flexible working requests. Please specify your preferred pattern in your application.

Role Responsibilities

• Support existing and new high hazard facilities and operations.
• Ensure facility designs (infrastructure, utilities, processes, equipment) are suitable and compliant.
• Identify and select solutions to meet business needs, considering performance and licensing.

Candidate Requirements

Essential:

• HNC/HND qualification or 4+ years industry experience.
• Ability to collaborate across functions and manage external and internal teams.
• Experience managing project design packages and all project lifecycle aspects.
• Strong problem definition and solution development skills.
• Experience with configuration management and change control.

Desirable:

• Experience delivering engineering designs for safe operations.
• Ability to articulate technical complexities and manage design tasks within project schedules.
