Job summary

NP Aerospace is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Personal Armour Engineering team in Coventry, delivering complex projects on time and to standard. You will drive technical decisions, mentor a 6–10 person team, and ensure robust designs while coordinating with manufacturing, quality, and procurement.

This role requires strong mechanical engineering expertise, GD&T, and experience with composite materials and electronic systems.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience delivering design projects from inception to launch.
• Strong understanding of GD&T and engineering drawings.
• Experience using AI tools or willingness to learn applying them.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across the Personal Armour Engineering team.
• Own engineering standards and sign off products and projects.
• Lead a team of approximately 6–10 project engineers.
• Oversee planning and delivery of engineering projects within scope, budgets and timescales.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product Development, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing and other stakeholders.
