Job summary

LexisNexis Risk Solutions in the United Kingdom is seeking a Development Manager, Data Services to lead a team of engineers delivering sprint and release commitments aligned to the roadmap.

You will combine people leadership with delivery excellence, working with Product Owners, Architects and Engineering leaders to translate priorities into achievable plans while driving operational excellence and reliable service delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience leading engineering teams and supporting their performance.
• Ability to translate strategic priorities into clear delivery plans.
• Experience managing sprint delivery, release commitments, dependencies and capacity.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Commitment to collaboration, ownership and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery of sprint and release commitments against the roadmap.
• Translate priorities from senior leadership into sprint plans and milestones.
• Coordinate day-to-day delivery across the team, managing blockers, dependencies and capacity.
• Ensure work is delivered to agreed quality, coding and testing standards.
• Identify and flag delivery risks early, escalating where they exceed the team's control.
• Track and report on sprint progress, velocity and delivery health to the wider DS leadership.
• Line-manage, coach and develop a team of engineers.
• Act as the delivery point of contact for the team's area of work.
