Job summary

LexisNexis Risk Solutions in the United Kingdom is seeking a Development Manager, Data Services to lead a team of engineers delivering sprint and release commitments aligned to the roadmap.

You will combine people leadership with delivery excellence, working with Product Owners, Architects and Engineering leaders to translate priorities into achievable plans while driving operational excellence and reliable service delivery.

• Coordinate day-to-day delivery across the team, managing blockers, dependencies and capacity.
• Ensure work is delivered to agreed quality, coding and testing standards.
• Identify and flag delivery risks early, escalating where they exceed the team's control.
• Track and report on sprint progress, velocity and delivery health to the wider DS leadership.
• Line-manage, coach and develop a team of engineers.
• Act as the delivery point of contact for the team's area of work.

Working closely with Product Owners, Architects, and Engineering leaders, you will help translate strategic priorities into achievable plans while driving operational excellence, continuous improvement, and reliable service delivery.

• Own delivery of the team's sprint and release commitments against the agreed roadmap.
• Translate priorities set by senior leadership into sprint plans, tickets and achievable milestones.
• Coordinate day-to-day delivery across the team, managing blockers, dependencies and capacity.
• Ensure work is delivered to agreed quality, coding and testing standards.
• Identify and flag delivery risks early, escalating where they exceed the team's control.
• Track and report on sprint progress, velocity and delivery health to the wider DS leadership.
• Line-manage, coach and develop a team of engineers.
