Job Title: Engineering Manager Aerodynamics: Eurofighter Delivery Lead

Salary: £66,110

What you’ll be doing:

  • Responsible for leading delivery of Typhoon Aerodynamics products to Eurofighter, NETMA, and National Programme customers. Oversight includes technical capability, customer relationships, business performance, and people development
  • Manage the Loads, Aeroelastics, Stores Release, and Business Operations teams, ensuring capability, skills, training, and qualifications align with business needs
  • Act as primary interface with Eurofighter, NETMA, and National Programme stakeholders, working closely with System Design Responsibility (SDR) areas to maintain strong relationships and deliver commitments
  • Support the Aerodynamics Engineering Manager in leading the In-Service Aircraft team and achieving key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Oversee estimates, cost control, programme preparation, progress reporting, resource management, and safety, health & environment (SHE) compliance
  • Build knowledge across aerodynamics, loads, aeroelastics, and stores release disciplines to support effective decision-making and capability growth

Your skills and experiences:

  • Well-developed people management skills and good interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge and experience in the Aerodynamics or interfacing disciplines
  • Degree level qualification in a STEM subject
  • Professional registration (CEng), or application in progress, with an appropriate engineering institution
  • Experience of working with customers, suppliers or partners on an engineering programme
  • Knowledge and experience of performance management (cost, schedule, quality) on an engineering programme

The Aerodynamics team:

This is an Aerodynamics Discipline (E825) Executive leadership role in the Air Sector suitable for an experienced leader with a technical background in Aerodynamics or an interfacing discipline, e.g. airframe design, structures, flight systems, weapons integration, avionics or similar. It is a team leadership role in the Aerodynamics In-Service Aircraft Team reporting to the Aerodynamics Engineering Manager. The team is responsible for design, qualification, certification and support for in-service aircraft including Typhoon, Tornado and Hawk.
