As an Engineering Manager, you'll lead high-performing squads to build scalable, resilient systems. You'll take ownership of delivery, architecture, and team development — partnering closely with Product and Technology leadership to drive impactful outcomes.
Technical Leadership
Define and evolve the team's technical platform, ensuring alignment with H&B's technology strategy
Lead architectural decisions, implementation, and code reviews with a focus on modern, distributed systems
Advocate for continuous improvement in tools, practices, and delivery processes
Manage, mentor, and grow a team of engineers, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence
Support career development and succession planning across the team
Recruit and retain top engineering talent
Software Delivery
Own the planning and execution of your team's roadmap
Drive a culture of quality through robust testing, CI/CD, and automation
Balance delivery with technical debt management and continuous improvement
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Act as a key technical leader within your domain
Communicate progress, risks, and roadmaps clearly with stakeholders
Collaborate with teams across the business to manage dependencies and deliver integrated outcomes
Key requirements:
3+ years' experience managing engineering teams of 8 or more
Experience building microservices and distributed systems using Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native patterns
Deep knowledge of Agile delivery, DevOps practices, and automated testing pipelines
Excellent problem-solving skills and a pragmatic, analytical mindset
Proven ability to lead through change and guide cross-functional teams through ambiguity
