You'll be responsible for building and evolving team culture and practices that support high-performing engineering teams. Ideally, you thrive on managing both people and processes - bringing clarity, structure, and creating an environment where Engineers can do their best work.

In this hands-off technical role, you’ll collaborate closely with Product Managers, Product Designers, Quality, and your Engineering team to deliver high-quality software solutions to our customers. You bring strong technology instincts, delivery management expertise, and people leadership skills to the table. You’re accountable for the day-to-day operations of your team, managing project delivery, and ensuring the team remains focused on outcomes that matter. You're an enabler, removing roadblocks and helping your team succeed.

Role Specifics

  • Reporting Structure: This role reports to the Director of Engineering.

What You Will Own

  • Utilising your people leadership experience to support the continuous learning, up-skilling, and career growth of Software Engineers and Technical Leads.
  • Contributing to measurable, tangible improvements to Engineering productivity for your team by creating a culture of continuous improvement, focussed on the delivery of high-quality software to our customers.
  • Being part of the Engineering Leadership team and running, or contributing to, broader Engineering initiatives while supporting and advocating for other cross-cutting initiatives.
  • Contributing to a cohesive and collaborative leadership team, uplifting the broader Engineering practice through knowledge sharing.
  • Owning and managing the resourcing and delivery plans of your team in collaboration with Product Managers, Designers, and Technical Leads.
  • Manage project planning, estimation, priorities, deadlines, and delivery of results while creating visibility of work for effective stakeholder management.
  • Lead the breakdown and refinement of work, ensuring clear requirements and deliverables.
  • Advocating for software engineers, help them remove obstacles, unlock their potential and improve their performance.
  • Mentor and grow a diverse and driven team.
  • Conducting regular one-on-ones, identifying top performers and supporting their career growth while creating structure to uplift where required

  • Proven track record of people management.
  • An inclination towards communication, inclusion, and visibility.

Reasons to join our Team:

  • A well-established, high-performance company that has been in business for over 30+ years
