One of our key clients is currently looking to recruit an Engineering Manager to work at their unique and prestigious building based in Central London.

The role will be working as part of their busy in-house engineering and estates team, managing all electrical and mechanical services across the building.

Main duties include:

1. Control of all technical services, together with management of all associated engineering contracts.
2. Control of all building services, infrastructure, maintenance, and repairs.
3. Project management of building refurbishment projects.
4. Ensure all plant, backup, and monitoring systems are maintained in good working order, including regular testing of all essential systems in accordance with legislation.
5. Control troubleshooting engineering support.
6. Support and adjust infrastructure as required, liaising with user groups, preparing documentation for changes, appointing contractors, and supervising sites.
7. Manage relevant budgets.
8. Oversee outsourced contracts.
9. Ensure all procedures are followed by contractors and comply with legislation.
10. Prepare tender documents and conduct benchmarking exercises for contracts.
11. Regularly check for cost-effectiveness and value for money.
12. Chair update meetings with contract managers.
13. Manage M&E related incidents and outages.

Candidate requirements:

• Fully qualified electrically or mechanically (C&G, degree, or HND).
• Excellent knowledge of building systems.
• Experience in commercial buildings.
• Strong understanding of critical systems.
• Excellent people skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
• Proficient in Excel (advanced), Outlook, Word, PowerPoint.
