Job summary

TH Recruit is recruiting for an Engineering Manager to join a house builder based in Northampton. You will lead a team of engineers, coordinate with consultants and drive civil designs for housing developments.

The role involves preparing viability studies, road and drainage designs, and liaising with approving authorities to ensure timely project delivery.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading civil engineering teams.
• Experience delivering adoptable Section 38/104 designs.
• Strong knowledge of ground, drainage and infrastructure design.

Job description

We are recruiting for an Engineering Manager to join a house builder based in Northampton.

Main Duties:

• Prepare viability and detailed civil engineering designs to resolve technical issues and support site appraisals.
• Produce adoptable Section 38 and 104 road and drainage designs and associated tender information.
• Coordinate with environmental, geotechnical and foundation consultants to address ground, contamination and foundation solutions.
• Advise on housing layouts, SUDs and value engineering, and develop road, sewer, levels and drainage designs in liaison with approving authorities.
• Assemble and manage the full civil engineering design package, support the discharge of engineering-related planning and building conditions, and attend project meetings as required.
• Manage and lead a team of engineers while ensuring compliance with company procedures.
