Job summary

Triumph Motorcycles in Milton Keynes is seeking a Civil Engineer to support the Commercial Department on tenders and to coordinate design activities.

You will work with Environmental and Geotechnical consultants to address foundation and contamination issues, liaise with designers on housing layouts, and develop road and sewer designs with approving bodies.

You will lead and mentor a team of engineers, manage time effectively, and communicate clearly to ensure project success.

Qualifications

• Experience and qualifications required for a house builder or consultancy role.
• HNC or HND level qualification is required.
• Knowledge of planning policy and procedures is essential.
• Knowledge of urban design requirements for local councils and technical standards for highways and water authorities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience with AutoCAD or design software.

Responsibilities

• Supply information to the Commercial Department for tender purposes.
• Collaborate with Environmental and Geotechnical Consultants on foundation and contamination solutions.
• Liaise with Designers on housing layouts, advising on SUDs and value engineering.

• Brief and manage the Foundation Design Consultant.
• Assemble and deliver the civil engineering package.
• Discharge engineering and building-related issues and planning conditions.
• Attend meetings as required and uphold company policies.
• Manage a team of engineers and mentor team members.

Liaising with Designers in relation to the development of housing layouts with a view to offering advice on SUDs and value engineering. Assisting in the production of site appraisals. Developing road and sewer designs with the approving bodies in order to solve all associated engineering issues. Preparing/co-ordinating external levels drawings and private drainage drawings. Briefing and managing the Foundation Design Consultant. Assembling and delivering the civil engineering package. Discharging engineering related and building related issues. Assisting in the discharge of engineering related planning conditions. Attending meetings that may be necessary in the performance of your duties. Complying with and uphold company policies and procedures. Undertaking any additional tasks as may reasonably be required from time to time. Managing a team of engineers.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS / ATTRIBUTES

• Experience of working for a house builder or consultancy in a similar role.
• HNC or HND level qualified.
