Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, develop, and mentor the engineering team, fostering a high-performance and accountable culture.
- Ensure all production and packing assets operate at peak efficiency, maintaining consistent quality and throughput.
- Implement and execute an Asset Care strategy to optimize machine uptime and efficiency.
- Drive a proactive safety culture, ensuring compliance with all engineering regulations and standards.
- Monitor and reduce downtime through preventative and predictive maintenance, leveraging data-driven decision-making and root cause analysis (RCA).
- Work cross-functionally with production and technical teams to drive continuous improvement and collaboration.
- Manage the Repairs and Maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective asset management and CAPEX project success.
What We’re Looking For:
- Degree or time-served qualification in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline).
- Proven leadership in an engineering management role within food manufacturing or FMCG.
- Strong understanding of asset care methodologies (TPM, PPM, reliability-centred maintenance).
- Knowledge of compliance requirements (PUWER, LOLER, PSSR, BRCGS, Health & Safety regulations).
- IOSH or NEBOSH qualification.
- Financial acumen with experience in managing budgets and cost controls.
- Change driver – ability to influence stakeholders and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience in managing small capital projects, including commissioning and integration.
- Strong problem-solving skills, lean manufacturing knowledge, and CI methodologies.
