Co-op in Manchester is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead, coach and support engineers across one to two teams, balancing hands-on leadership with people development. The role is hybrid/remote with monthly office presence.
You'll line manage up to 12 engineers and quality coaches, oversee code quality, deployment health and on-call resilience, and collaborate with Product, Delivery, and Principal Engineers.
£65,000 to £75,000 plus great benefits (Work Level 5)
Manchester city centre (hybrid / remote working, splitting your time between home working, and coming into our Manchester office around once a month)

As part of this, we’re looking for Engineering Managers to join our team. In this role, you’ll lead, coach, and support skilled engineers across a range of teams and technical areas, building strong relationships with these colleagues as you go. You’ll play a big part in developing engineering capability, nurturing career growth, and working alongside leaders from across Co-op to build a strong, connected engineering community.
