The role
Managing a team of engineers, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the manufacturing site. Responsibilities will include minimizing machinery downtime, improving performance through optimizing processes, implementing upgrades, or using data-driven approaches to identify areas for improvement. You will also keep the engineering team engaged and motivated, coordinate maintenance priorities with the maintenance team, and have a hands-on approach.
The person
Our ideal candidate will either be an experienced engineering manager or an ambitious engineer looking for that first step into management. Previous experience within a food manufacturing environment will be advantageous. You will have a solid understanding of operation/function and repair of all machinery on site and plant and associated equipment. Along with excellent communication skills, assertiveness, the ability to make decisions on the spot, a can-do attitude, and a strong work ethic are essential.
