Job summary

Stirling Warrington Limited is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead our site engineering function in a heavy manufacturing setting. You will drive reliability, safety and capital projects, while building high-performing teams on the shop floor and in maintenance leadership.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will shape asset strategy, manage majorCapex initiatives and ensure root-cause problem solving is embedded to prevent recurrences and optimise cost and quality.

Qualifications

• Significant engineering leadership experience in heavy manufacturing, process or industrial environments.
• A track record of improving reliability and delivering capital projects.
• Experience leading change and building high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the site's engineering function through a team of managers and maintenance staff.
• Drive asset reliability and move the site to a planned and preventative maintenance culture.
• Manage capital projects that shape the site's future.
• Lead root-cause problem solving to prevent recurrence and promote safety, reliability and cost effectiveness.

This role is about the person. We, a well-established heavy manufacturing business, needs a Senior Engineering Manager who leads from the front: someone who's out on the shop floor, rolls their sleeves up and earns respect by being visible, approachable and decisive.

The role

Reporting to the General Manager, you'll lead the site's engineering function through a team of managers and a large multi-disciplined engineering and maintenance team. You'll own:

• Asset reliability, and moving the site to a planned and preventative maintenance culture
• Capex projects that shape the site's future
• Root-cause problem solving that stops issues coming back
• Health and safety leadership, plus performance against safety, reliability, quality and cost
