Location: Knutsford, 2 days on site per week

Our client is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing development team in Knutsford. This is an exciting opportunity for a technically credible leader who thrives on enabling teams to deliver outstanding software solutions while growing and mentoring engineering talent. As an Engineering Manager, your focus is not just on delivery, but also on people. You’ll champion agile practices, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and drive both team productivity and individual growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers.
  2. Own the delivery of technical products and projects, ensuring quality and timely execution.
  3. Create and maintain project plans for large-scale epics.
  4. Run and continuously improve agile processes and ceremonies.
  5. Provide technical coaching and architecture guidance.
  6. Conduct regular 1:1s, performance feedback, and career development.
  7. Engage in hands-on practices such as code reviews, bug fixing, and quality assurance.
  8. Collaborate across departments and manage multiple stakeholder relationships.
  9. Drive innovation and implement process improvements.
  10. Actively contribute to the team culture and overall technical direction.
Tech & Tools You'll Work With:
  • Languages & Frameworks: Strong background in Java, microservices, and APIs.
  • Methodologies: Agile, Scrum.
  • Tools: Jira, Confluence.
