The Role

As an Engineering Manager, you will lead the delivery of complex engineering projects, as well as our welding and fabrication shop.

Working closely with the CIO and Operations Manager, you’ll develop and implement strategies that introduce new technologies, equipment, and skills, while ensuring knowledge is effectively transferred to shopfloor teams.

You’ll also oversee the delivery of complex projects, collaborating with design and project teams from the earliest stages to ensure smooth implementation, high-quality outputs, and timely delivery.

Alongside managing people and processes, you’ll play a key role in maintaining quality standards across the factory.

Additionally, You Will
  • Provide leadership and support across engineering and factory operations
  • Act as the link between development and implementation for new innovations
  • Create detailed project trackers
  • Manage Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)
About You

To be considered as an Engineering Manager, you will need:

  • Experience leading and delivering complex projects
  • Experience in metal fabrication and the ability to read all aspects of engineering and fabrication drawings
  • Experience with lean and quality management systems
  • A deep understanding of manufacturing processes
  • A high level of health & safety competence
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • The ability to negotiate under pressure
  • Excellent planning skills and attention to detail

Although not essential, previous management experience in a similar role would be highly beneficial.
