We are looking for an experienced site manager to drive engineering standards, organisational development, and asset performance to achieve a competitive advantage.

Make a tangible impact

As the Engineering Manager, you would be responsible for the engineering performance of all assets under your control, contributing towards improving and delivering asset availability annual plan targets and productivity levels.

You will work with the Operations management team across the Corby Site to ensure standards, practices, and sharing/learning opportunities are implemented.

The principal accountabilities include:

1. Managing the engineering budget for the operational area, striving to improve maintenance and asset lifecycle costs.
2. Driving and embedding the SAP Planned Maintenance Programme to enhance engineering performance.
3. Implementing improved engineering standards, developing engineering projects, and addressing physicals, systems, and organisational effectiveness.
4. Managing resources during plant shutdowns.
5. Overseeing budgetary management within your control.
6. Driving KPIs to reduce downtime on assets.
7. Ensuring safety standards are met and policies are applied.
8. Managing team training and resource allocation across shifts.

All activities should comply with Tata Steel policies, safety standards, statutory regulations, and ISO requirements.

We see your potential

You will manage a team of approximately 50 engineers across multiple levels, so experience in managing a multi-disciplined team is essential.

Proficiency in IT, especially MS Project, is required. Knowledge of SAP or similar CMMS is advantageous.

You should have experience managing engineering budgets, planning plant shutdowns, and possess excellent communication and leadership skills. A relevant degree or equivalent experience in engineering or manufacturing is preferred.
