Job summary

Invictus Group in Central London is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to oversee the technical delivery of Hard FM and M&E maintenance services within a prestigious commercial property.

You'll lead an on-site team of mechanical and electrical engineers, manage PPMs and reactive works, ensure full statutory compliance, and drive performance through budgets and KPIs while collaborating with clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical or electrical engineering background with recognised technical qualifications.
• Experience as Engineering Manager, Technical Manager, or Engineering Supervisor.
• Experience managing teams in commercial buildings.
• Understanding of Hard FM compliance, maintenance operations and health & safety.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site team of engineers and contractors.
• Oversee PPM, reactive maintenance and remedial works.
• Ensure statutory compliance across mechanical, electrical and building services.
• Manage engineering performance, budgets, and KPIs.
• Oversee plant rooms, HVAC, electrical infrastructure and BMS.
• Support lifecycle replacement and small works projects.
• Maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Engineering Manager

Location: Central London

Salary: £65,000 - £70,000

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm

Contract: Permanent

About the Role

We are recruiting for an experienced Engineering Manager to oversee the technical delivery of Hard FM and M&E maintenance services within a prestigious commercial property in Central London.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and lead an on-site team of mechanical and electrical engineers, supervisors and specialist contractors.
• Oversee the delivery of planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance and remedial works.
• Ensure full statutory compliance across mechanical, electrical and building services systems.
• Manage engineering performance, maintenance budgets, technical reporting and operational KPIs.
• Oversee plant room operations, HVAC systems, electrical infrastructure and building management systems (BMS).
• Support lifecycle replacement programmes, small works and technical improvement projects.
• Maintain strong working relationships with clients and key stakeholders.

Requirements

• Strong mechanical or electrical engineering background with recognised technical qualifications.
• Previous experience as an Engineering Manager, Technical Manager or Engineering Supervisor.
• Experience managing engineering teams within commercial buildings.
• Strong understanding of Hard FM compliance, maintenance operations and health & safety
