Job summary

Ibstock Plc is seeking an Engineering Manager at the Chesterton plant to lead engineering and continuous improvement, driving safety, quality, and performance improvements across the manufacturing floor.

You will develop teams, align capital plans with company goals, and deliver world-class engineering standards in a large, sustainability-focused building products business.

Responsibilities

• Develop and communicate Company, Factory and Team plans and ensure focused execution
• Lead people management, motivation, and performance reviews to deliver objectives
• Provide engineering and technical expertise to enable Continuous Improvement across manufacturing
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental procedures
• Collect, analyse and utilise engineering, production and process data to hit targets
• Develop systems/standards for 5S housekeeping within the engineering environment
• Design and implement capital improvement projects to enhance manufacturing capability
• Utilise a CMMS/PPM approach for planned maintenance and stock control
• Collaborate across Ibstock Brick support functions to build effective working relationships

Key requirements

• Knowledge of Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, preferably in Construction
