At Cavendish Nuclear, we’re working to create a safe and secure world. Join us as an Engineering Manager at one of our sites and contribute to our mission.

The Role

As an Engineering Manager, you will be part of our Cavendish Nuclear business, involved in decommissioning nuclear facilities, supporting the Continuous at Sea Deterrent, and aiding the operation and construction of nuclear power plants. Our goal is to clean up the nuclear legacy and promote nuclear energy to protect our nation, ensure energy security, and meet net zero commitments.

Daily responsibilities include leading the planning and management of multidisciplinary projects, coordinating tasks, and delivering technical solutions from concept to full EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction). Key duties:

  • Manage multidisciplinary teams to deliver engineering work efficiently and on time.
  • Promote collaboration across engineering and other functions.
  • Manage customer relationships, ensuring effective communication and issue resolution.
  • Oversee the technical output to meet scope and quality standards.
  • Uphold health, safety, and environmental standards within the team.
  • Manage resources, develop team capabilities, and mentor staff.
  • Conduct project and technical audits for continuous improvement.
  • Stay informed of industry best practices and foster a culture of engineering excellence.
Essential Experience
  • Management experience leading multidisciplinary teams on various projects.
  • Excellent communication skills and cross-disciplinary interfacing.

This is a full-time, permanent role (37 hours/week) with hybrid/flexible working options.

Qualifications
  • An engineering degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline, with significant experience.

The candidate must be able to obtain baseline security clearance.
