Job summary

TipTopJob in Milton is seeking an Engineering Manager (Design / Composites) to guide R&D and customer projects. You will lead a small engineering team (3-4) and spend ~40% of time on CATIA V5 design and ~60% on broader project management.

The role requires an engineering degree and composites experience, with responsibilities covering quotations, documentation, and adherence to AS 9100 standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee projects from start to finish.
• Lead design activities using CATIA V5.
• Perform FEA activities.
• Lead role in customer quotations and obtain PO sign-off.
• Manage quotations for outsourced tools and materials and PO processing via ERP.
• Manage manufacturing schedules in line with orders.
• Organise PFMEA, control plans, SOPs, etc.
• Support the quality engineer to ensure AS 9100 alignment.

A GBP 60,000 to A GBP 75,000 + 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays

Monday to Friday 08:30 to 17:00

Engineering Manager required for a leading composites company who work with industries such as medical and aerospace. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a varied role where you will be an integral member of the team.

This role would suit an experienced composites engineer with experience spanning design and project management. You will hold an engineering degree (or equivalent).

The Engineering Manager will be responsible for management R and D and customer projects from start to finish whilst overseeing a small engineering team of 3:4 engineers. You can expect to spend approximately 40 of your time using CATIA V5 to develop designs, and the further 60 of your time will be spent focusing on broader project management responsibilities.
