Hitachi Rail UK Limited is seeking an Engineering Maintenance Technician Apprentice at the Bounds Green depot in London. This programme offers hands-on maintenance experience while you study for a Level 3 qualification in engineering.

You'll learn to support maintenance teams, handle engineering tools safely, and work toward delivering reliable rolling stock. The role includes college coursework and regular performance reviews during the apprenticeship.

Competenze

Engineering Maintenance Technician Apprentice

What you'll be doing
  • Support maintenance specialists and team members with a variety of maintenance activities.
  • Learn to use engineering tools safely and effectively.
  • Follow standard operating procedures to maintain modern rolling stock.
  • Develop the ability to work independently while contributing as part of a team.
  • Support operational objectives through additional maintenance-related tasks.
  • Participate fully in a formal apprenticeship programme leading to a Level 3 qualification.
  • Attend college and complete coursework to a high standard.
  • Take part in regular training, development and performance reviews.
What we're looking for
  • A genuine enthusiasm for working in a maintenance environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Good time management and organisational skills.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A professional and responsible approach to work.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • An understanding of the importance of health and safety within a working environment.
  • A motivated, dependable and detail-oriented mindset with a desire to build a career within engineering.
Entry Requirements
  • GCSE Grade 4/C or above in Maths and English.
