Job description

A Career Without Limits

As the nation’s flag carrier, we take great pride in connecting Britain with the world and the world with Britain.

It’s something we’ve been doing for over 100 years, ever since we launched the world’s first international scheduled air service between London and Paris.

Since then, British Airways has gone on to deliver game‑changing achievements. First we broke the record for the fastest transatlantic flight with Concorde. Then we became the very first airline to introduce fully lie‑flat seats on board.

It was our exceptional engineering teams that brought these pioneering and original ideas to life.

This is your chance to join one of the most diverse and innovative departments at British Airways, at a time when we’re re‑im‑agining the way we fly the skies.

The role: Engineering & Maintenance Strategy Manager
  • Help shape the future of British Airways Engineering & Maintenance ***

This is a rare opportunity to join British Airways Engineering & Maintenance in a newly created senior strategy role, helping to build and shape a strategy team at the heart of one of the airline's most important functions.

You will own and drive the annual strategic planning process, lead high‑profile strategic projects, and provide the insight, challenge and recommendations that help shape key business decisions.

As one of the founding members of a newly formed team, this role offers the chance not only to influence E&M’s long‑term strategy, but also to help establish the ways of working, capability and culture of a world‑class strategy function.

  • Deliver high‑impact strategic projects and influence decisions at Executive and Management Committee level.
  • Build trusted relationships across Engineering & Maintenance, British Airways and IAG.
  • Be part of building a new team, helping establish the capability, reputation and impact of the E&M Strategy function.
What You’ll Do

  • Provide constructive challenge, independent review and strategic advice on key business initiatives.
  • Lead and coordinate matrix teams to deliver exceptional outcomes.
