Engineering Manager – Mayfair – £60,000

Location: Fitzrovia

Salary: £60,000 + Plenty of Overtime

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8AM – 5PM

An excellent opportunity has arisen with one of my clients who are looking for an M&E Manager to look after a portfolio of sites based in Fitzrovia. You will be leading a team of multi-skilled engineers, ensuring contractual obligations are met and supporting them with technical support and mentoring.

The successful candidate will support the Key Account Manager in daily tasks with reliability, flexibility, and professionalism. You will also support the Contract Managers and Contract Support in proactively managing reactive tasks.

The candidate should have a technical M&E background and experience in managing a maintenance engineering team on site. In return, the company offers a competitive salary/package of £60,000, further training, and career progression.

Duties will include:

  • Ensure statutory testing is carried out, updated, and logged in Logbooks.
  • Monitor and control PPM and reactive statistics via eLogbook System and produce reports.
  • Produce monthly reports and collate minutes of meetings with actions closed out.
  • Produce energy reports for the customer.
  • Oversee statutory certification and ensure availability to the customer on request.
  • Attend designated meetings by the KAM.
  • Monitor & control the Training Matrix to ensure staff are trained appropriately.
  • Administer monthly team briefings and TBTs.
  • Undertake monthly QHSE site audits.
  • Produce quotations.
  • Manage the team according to procedures and policies, ensuring wellbeing and H&S are monitored.
  • Ensure efficient repair of site M&E equipment and services.
  • Prioritize and delegate reactive maintenance tasks to ensure service levels.
  • Control the Weekly Engineering Planner and communicate with customers regarding staffing issues.
  • Monitor subcontractor contract performance and report issues.
  • Utilize Help Desk systems, monitor SLAs, and staff performance.
  • Monitor utilities usage, report abnormalities, and suggest energy savings.
  • Manage critical engineering infrastructure, including risk registers and system availability.
  • Ensure maintenance of critical equipment aligns with requirements.

Requirements:

  • City & Guilds Parts 1 & 2 Electrical installation or recognized equivalent
  • Electrical (BS7671 18th Edition)
  • Electrical (C&G2391 Inspection and Testing)
  • C&G Mechanical & HVAC
  • Up-to-date knowledge of technical standards for Fire Alarm Systems, Generators, COSHH Electrical Services, HV & AC, Water Systems Treatment
  • Knowledge of business-critical services such as UPS and MGPS
  • Full understanding of Statutory Compliance
