We are currently looking for an Engineering, Maintenance & Site Services Manager to join us at Chippenham. If you want to make a difference and work for a purpose-led company, please read on.

The role

1. Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies, procedures, and legislation and ensure that all work is undertaken to the highest Health & Safety standard.
2. Implement and maintain an asset management program to cover all manufacturing equipment and services.
3. Control engineering and toolroom spending and ensure adherence to budgets.
4. Manage engineering stores and workshop including stock control, purchasing, spares availability, and housekeeping.
5. Manage and control contracts from specification writing to installation.
6. Oversee contractors on site to ensure compliance with safety and environmental policies.
7. Assess downtime trends to identify areas of weakness and develop plans to reduce breakdowns and improve equipment reliability.
8. Strengthen leadership and capabilities within the engineering team.
9. Build and sustain a high-performance engineering and site services team, ensuring alignment with production and other functions.
10. Champion the application of maintenance ‘excellence’ methodology.
11. Develop and maintain a maintenance KPI dashboard.
12. Ensure compliance with ISO14001 requirements.
13. Develop and manage the AGILITY CMMS system.

The profile

1. Minimum of 5 years experience managing engineering activities.
2. Experience managing teams of over 15 people.
3. Proven ability to manage budgets exceeding £1m/year.
4. Excellent time management and flexibility.
5. Strong organizational skills.
6. Effective communication and influencing skills.
7. High computer literacy.
8. NEBOSH General Certificate.
9. Recognized management qualification (e.g., NVQ, ILM, CMI).
