Hard Services Supervisor – Hammersmith – £45,000 – £50,000

We have recently restructured the Estates and Facilities team, and the Hard Services Supervisor is a key role to ensure effective maintenance of a school site to a high standard, meeting current legislative requirements. The role involves taking full ownership of hard services, managing risk assessments, health & safety compliance, school maintenance, and identifying cost-effective operations across the site. Candidates should have a proven track record in hard services, with excellent knowledge of statutory duties, responsibilities, and Health and Safety regulations.

Duties

  • Introduce technical KPIs and ensure these and existing SLAs are met for planned and reactive activities.
  • Oversee Computer Aided Facilities Management System (CAFM).
  • Conduct ongoing condition reports on assets via CAFM, highlighting deficiencies.
  • Arrange preventative maintenance activities in conjunction with the Facilities Manager.
  • Perform statutory compliance maintenance such as Emergency Lighting, Fixed Wire Testing, Portable Appliance Testing, Fire Alarm testing, and Legionella Testing.
  • Line-manage a team of two Maintenance Technicians.
  • Report delays to planned or reactive works to the Facilities Manager for rescheduling or escalation.
  • Assist with project works related to operational delivery.
  • Coordinate with school staff and contractors for reactive and planned maintenance requests.
  • Log, analyze, and track maintenance requests through CAFM, prioritizing work to ensure efficiency and minimal downtime.
  • Update compliance documentation.
  • Create and implement Departmental Risk Assessments.

Requirements

  • Experience with KPIs/SLAs.
  • Experience in stakeholder management with excellent customer service skills.
  • Demonstrable team-playing, organizational, and planning skills.
  • Ability to work within deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
