Salary/Benefits: Salary up to £36,878 per annum DOE and Qualifications, Teacher’s pension, Retail and Leisure Discounts, professional and personal development opportunities, access to college courses.

About the role:

Seeking an Engineering Lecturer in Welding & Fabrication to join our Engineering department at The Bedford College Group.

Responsibilities include:

• Teaching and assessing Engineering courses, aligned with college policies.
• Delivering practical, workshop, and classroom-based training using diverse techniques.
• Planning and developing teaching materials and programmes.
• Acting as course tutor and monitoring student progress.
• Participating in assessment and quality assurance activities.
• Creating a stimulating learning environment and ensuring compliance with policies.

About you:

• Level 3 qualification in a relevant Engineering discipline.
• English and mathematics GCSE grade A-C or equivalent, or willingness to achieve Level 2 within a year.
• Experience in teaching, assessing, or tutoring Engineering.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Commitment to safeguarding and professional conduct.
