Job summary

New College Durham is seeking an experienced Engineering Lecturer to join its Engineering department on a full-time, ongoing basis. You will deliver high-quality teaching across Engineering programmes, covering Mechanical, Electrical and General Engineering, and support practical workshop learning.

You will assess learner work, monitor progress and provide feedback while promoting safe learning environments.

Qualifications

• Teaching experience or ability to teach across Engineering programmes.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Significant industry experience within an engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality teaching across Engineering programmes.
• Teach Mechanical, Electrical, and General Engineering principles.
• Support practical workshop and laboratory-based learning and assessments.
• Prepare and assess learner work in line with awarding body requirements.
