Job summary

Wipro in London is seeking an experienced Engineering Lead to translate solution architecture into actionable engineering delivery plans. This role blends deep technical leadership with delivery management, shaping high-performing teams to realise complex technology programmes.

You will work with architects, product owners and delivery teams, promoting engineering excellence, DevOps practices and cloud delivery in a hybrid or remote setup. Fixed-term contract (12+ months) based in the UK.

• Proven experience leading engineering programmes.
• Experience translating architecture into delivery plans.
• Strong Agile delivery practices.

• Experience defining engineering standards, guardrails and best practices.

• Convert solution architecture and business requirements into executable engineering delivery plans.
• Break down large-scale outcomes into epics, features and increments.
• Establish engineering standards and technical guardrails across programmes.
• Shape and build delivery teams with defined capabilities and structures.
• Challenge technical assumptions and delivery estimates for realism.
• Lead technical discovery workshops with stakeholders.
• Drive engineering excellence with pragmatic leadership and hands-on guidance.
• Remove blockers and provide direction to enable delivery teams.
• Collaborate with architects, product owners and senior stakeholders.
• Support continuous improvement across engineering and DevOps practices.
