Job summary

Spiko is building an AI-native treasury management platform and is seeking an engineering leader to scale a high-performing team in Paris or London. You will own delivery, architecture, and the product roadmap, while maintaining a very high talent bar and close collaboration with founders.

You will code and review, shape the org, hire top engineers, and drive architecture decisions as the company grows beyond its current 8 engineers. Office-first with partial remote options.

Qualifications

• Proven track record leading a team of 20+ engineers.
• Experience at an A+ startup or scale-up through rapid growth.
• AI-first by conviction and in practice: AI shapes how you run process, delivery, and vision for an engineering org.

Responsibilities

• Own engineering delivery end to end: architecture, quality, velocity, and reliability of systems processing hundreds of millions of euros monthly.
• Triple the team within a year: source, close, and onboard top-tier engineers while maintaining a high talent bar.
• In collaboration with Product, design the org for scale: team structure, ownership model, incident management, and security and compliance by design.
• Make AI a structural advantage: set tooling, workflows, and standards that multiply output.
• Stay hands-on: code, review, make architecture calls, and unblock the team on hardest problems.
• Work with founders on technical strategy, build vs. buy, and infra decisions.
