Job Title: Engineering Lead – Capital Projects (Remote, UK)

Contract Type: 12 Months

Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Engineering Lead to join a major capital project focused on delivering world-class catalyst manufacturing facilities. This is a remote role with approximately 25% travel to UK sites including Chilton, Clitheroe and Glasgow.

Responsibilities

• Lead the client-side engineering team for Stream 1 of a large-scale manufacturing project
• Coordinate engineering deliverables between internal stakeholders and the EPCM contractor
• Ensure compliance with technical safety standards and project specifications
• Manage design reviews, RFIs, hazard studies, and technical documentation
• Support recruitment and development of the engineering team

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified engineer with chartered status preferred
• 5–10 years’ experience in engineering leadership roles
• Strong background in chemical plant design and capital project delivery
• Experience working with EPCM partners and high-hazard (COMAH) environments
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
