Job summary

Arm internships offer hands-on design and development experience across hardware, firmware and software. You’ll work on real projects, with teams in Cambridge, Bristol, Manchester and Sheffield, with 3, 6 or 12‑month opportunities depending on role and location.

Applicants must be enrolled in a college or university degree and returning after the internship. Note that Arm cannot provide visa sponsorship; you must have the right to work in the UK for the full duration.

Qualifications

  • Are currently enrolled and studying towards a degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Physics, Maths or another relevant subject.
  • Are motivated by technology, problem-solving, collaboration and continuous learning.
  • Built, tested, analysed, improved or debugged something technical.
  • Relevant experience can come from coursework, labs, research, personal projects, hackathons, student organizations, previous internships or other hands‑on work.

Responsibilities

  • Designing hardware — the logic, circuits and physical design inside Arm technology.
  • Proving designs work, through simulation, test and validation.
  • Modelling how systems perform, and balancing speed against power.
  • Building and optimising machine-learning models and the software behind them.
  • Writing the firmware, drivers, compilers and tools our engineers rely on.
  • Help shape and deliver technical products and programs through strategy, data, planning, customer insights and cross-functional coordination.
  • Helping partners and developers around the world build with Arm.
