Job summary

Cirrus Logic is seeking talented engineering interns for Summer and MEng placements in Edinburgh, Newbury and London. You will work across Embedded Firmware, Software Tools, Software Drivers and System Test projects, collaborating with hardware designers to deliver innovative firmware and tools.

Ideal candidates are pursuing MEng or BEng in CS/SE/Electronics, with a 2:1 or better, and have interest in embedded systems, signal processing, and software development across C/C++, Python, and Java.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in MEng or BEng in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics and Electrical Engineering or a related subject degree and on track for a 2:1 or better
• Some experience with development/evaluation of signal processing
• Good understanding of software development principles
• Interest in Embedded Systems
• Excellent problem-solving ability
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Develop, debug, and optimize firmware for embedded platforms
• Create cross-platform tools and automate workflows with Java, Python, and C++
• Contribute to CI/test frameworks and collaborate with hardware and UX engineers
• Run automated functional, system, and stress tests on real hardware from FPGA to silicon
