Job summary

Cirrus Logic is seeking an Applications Engineer in Edinburgh, UK, to support customers through the full product lifecycle. The role focuses on mixed-signal audio, industrial, and automotive devices, and involves design-in, debugging, and reference design development.

You will work with IC, Systems, and Validation engineers, travel occasionally, and operate in a hybrid in-office/remote setup within commuting distance of Edinburgh.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in semiconductor industry.
• Adept with industry interfaces (I2C, SPI, USB, UART, I2S).
• Hands-on lab skills with oscilloscopes and analyzers.
• Strong written and verbal communication across diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct engineering support for customers and field personnel across the product lifecycle.
• Lead design-in activities including system bring-up, debugging, and issue resolution.
• Perform root-cause analysis across hardware, firmware and silicon.
• Develop/reference designs, demos, and application notes.
• Collaborate with IC, Systems, and Validation engineers on design requirements.
• Travel ~2 weeks per year for onsite support.
